We Moved! New Office, New Look

Shawn 02.18.2014

Valentine’s Day is over, and like a college girlfriend, sometimes you have to put down the Solo cup, bid farewell to a chapter in your life, and move on to the real world. We just did.

Say hello, to IdeaRocket’s new office.

Here are the top five reasons we broke up with our old space and why we couldn’t be happier:

  1. Extra Space
  2. Boss Conference Room
  3. Sleek Furniture
  4. The View(s)
  5. Meditation Pillows

1. Space to Animate

1600 sq. feet of animation awesomeness.

Oh yeah, baby. Get comfortable. Take of your shoes and relax.

  • Enough room for lunging, and plenty of space for lounging
  • Yoga pillows for thoughtful chillaxing? Ommmm…heck yeah.
  • Recline like a boss? Done-zo.

Our last space – WeWork Midtown – was great (there was even a kegerator on our floor), but just like that college girlfriend, after a few months your cramped bunk bed just isn’t enough. Our new office has high ceilings. How hot is that?

2. Conference like a Boss

Can’t see the audio visual display of our sweet animations from the luxurious conference table? No problem – the t.v. swivels.

Having a designated space to hold meetings, take calls, run numbers, and meet with clients is essential. This is easily our biggest professional upgrade in the new space, and has already made a big difference.

I’ll pencil you in to check it out. No seriously. I’ve got you down for a swivel T.V. strategy meeting next Thursday at 4 pm. Bring a slideshare presentation.

3. IKEA, this Furniture is Comfy!

I built every.single.stick of furniture in the new office. Visions of allen wrenches dance in my head. As tough as it was, the design of each piece is great – minimal and sleek – and the chairs are comfy. I love my desk. I call him “Deskledore” cuz he’s magic.

4. I Can See All the Things

I’ve got a window with plenty of light and a view of this “New Yorky” water tower – which is nice – and even though most of our work is pretty “headphones on,” it’s great to turn your head and ask a co-worker their favorite color. Collaboration is just a glance away.

5. The Meditation Pillows

I mentioned the meditation pillows, right?
